The 90-minute boat trip departs from South Pier in Lowestoft and travels north along the coast towards Scroby Sands. After leaving the harbour, the boat turns to port and follows the coastline, passing beaches and coastal towns including Lowestoft, Corton, Gorleston, and Great Yarmouth, providing views of these areas from the water. Upon reaching the seal colony at Scroby Sands, the boat slows down to avoid disturbing the animals. The engine is usually switched off and the anchor dropped to allow passengers to watch the seals closely. Seals can be seen both on the sand, depending on the tide, and swimming in the water nearby. Life jackets are provided for all passengers. It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
