Overview

This admission ticket grants entry to SEA LIFE Blackpool, located on the Promenade in Blackpool. The visit typically lasts between one and two hours and is self-guided. Inside, guests can explore over 50 displays featuring more than 2,500 marine animals, including tropical sharks, reef fish, octopus, rays, and seahorses. The visit begins at the Rock Pools, where visitors can see and touch creatures like starfish, crabs, anemones, and cleaner shrimp. It continues through exhibits that represent the native shorelines of Northwest England, showcasing animals such as lobsters, plaice, and octopus. The Quayside area displays larger ocean species including stingrays, pollock, brill, and dogfish. Guests move through underwater tunnels that provide close views of stingrays and zebra sharks in tropical reef environments. Seahorse Kingdom features several types of seahorses along with lionfish, unicorn fish, clownfish, and regal tangs. The submarine-themed area presents deep-sea animals like jellyfish, puffa fish, eels, and tangs. The rainforest walk-through includes turtles, chameleons, piranhas, poison dart frogs, and tomato frogs. Visitors can also walk through a large ocean tunnel (currently closed for renovations until spring 2026) to see sharks bred on-site for over 25 years, such as blacktip, whitetip, nurse, and shovel nose sharks, as well as bowmouth guitar sharks and vampire fish. New exhibits feature various starfish species in special displays designed for clear viewing, allowing close observation of their unique shapes and movements. Souvenir photos are available to purchase separately but are not included with the admission ticket.
