SEA LIFE Brighton is housed in the original Victorian aquarium building dating back to 1872. Visitors enter through the Victorian Arcade into a rainforest exhibit where tropical fish, water dragons, poison dart frogs, piranhas, and rescued terrapins can be seen. The aquarium features a 750,000-liter ocean display with three species of sharks, rescued sea turtles, rays, and tropical fish, viewed from a Victorian auditorium or through a glass tunnel where green sea turtles swim overhead. A glass bottom boat experience is available for separate purchase at admissions. The seahorse exhibit displays their unique behavior and breeding program. The Secrets of the Reef display presents tropical fish from the Maldives reef, including regal tangs and clownfish, viewed through a crawl-through tunnel, with information on conservation efforts. The Claws exhibit showcases crustaceans such as the Japanese spider crab, known for its large leg span. The visit typically lasts about two hours and includes entrance to all exhibits.
