The Sea Trek Helmet Dive at Coral World Ocean Park in St Thomas is a guided underwater walking experience lasting about 45 minutes, with approximately 25 minutes spent walking underwater. After an orientation, participants wear a special helmet that supplies air, weight, and stability, allowing them to walk upright on the ocean floor near Coral World’s Underwater Observation Tower. The helmet keeps the head and hair completely dry while allowing normal breathing. A guide leads participants along an underwater trail where fish and other sea creatures swim close to the helmet visor. The program includes the Sea Trek helmet and free admission to Coral World Ocean Park. Participants should bring or wear swimwear along with a cover-up and towel. Children must be at least eight years old and weigh at least 80 pounds to participate. Certain health conditions and recent medical history may disqualify participants, and a health release form must be signed before the dive.
