After Michaelmas Cay, the boat travels 30 nautical miles to Hastings Reef, part of the outer Great Barrier Reef. Guests snorkel here for approximately two hours under guided supervision. Hastings Reef features a shallow top with steep sides and often visible breakers where ocean swells meet the reef wall. Throughout the day, the air-conditioned vessel provides morning and afternoon tea, lunch, and all snorkeling equipment, including masks, snorkels, fins, buoyancy vests, and noodles.
