Overview

Seattle is known for its mix of historic neighborhoods and modern landmarks. This three-hour bus tour covers many of the city's main sights and some local neighborhoods. The tour begins with a visit to Pioneer Square, Seattle’s original neighborhood, where guests can see Waterfall Garden Park, the city’s first fire station, and the home of a well-known parcel delivery company. Afterward, the group drives through Chinatown and the International District to view local restaurants and shops. The tour includes stops for photos at Lake Union, famous for having the most floating homes in the United States, including the style featured in the movie Sleepless in Seattle. There is also a brief stop at Kerry Park for a panoramic view of the Space Needle and downtown Seattle, with Mount Rainier visible on clear days. The Ballard Locks, or Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, are visited for about 25 minutes where guests may see salmon migrating, seals, sea lions, and birds such as eagles and blue herons depending on the season. Guests will pass several landmarks including the Space Needle (photos taken from the bus), the Museum of Pop Culture, the Fremont Troll (stop only if parking allows), Lumen Field stadium, Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Amazon Spheres, and the Lenin Statue. Pike Place Market is viewed from the bus but guests who wish can be dropped off there after the tour. The tour includes bottled water and departs from the Hyatt Regency Seattle. Gratuities are not included.
