Prejean Winery was founded by James and Elizabeth Prejean, whose surname is of French Cajun origin from Louisiana. The winery operates approximately 30 acres of vineyards growing thirteen grape varieties. Vinifera grapes include Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Hybrid grapes include Traminette, Vignoles, Cayuga, Valvin Muscat, Marechal Foch, Noiret, and Corot Noir. All wines are estate grown and produced.
