1.Gwanghwamun The iconic south gate and main entrance. The adjacent plaza is a historic gathering spot for national events and public demonstrations. 2.Heungnyemun & Geunjeongmun These gates create a symmetrical path to the throne hall. Geunjeongmun is a unique, multi-storied gate where royal coronations were held. 3.Geunjeongjeon The grand throne hall used for major state ceremonies. Look for the pumgyeseok (rank stones) used to position court officials by status. 4.Sajeongjeon The king’s daily office for administrative work. It sits between the formal halls and the private royal bed chambers. 5 Gyeonghoeru A majestic lakeside pavilion used for royal banquets. It stands as Korea’s largest wooden structure, symbolizing architectural grandeur.
