Overview

The highlight of this day trip is the chance to spend three hours exploring Seville independently after a guided tour of its main sights. The trip departs from the Algarve and takes about 12 to 13 hours round-trip by bus. A professional multilingual guide accompanies travelers to Seville, pointing out key landmarks including the Real Alcázar Palace, Seville Cathedral, Maria Luisa Park, Plaza de España, and the Santa Cruz neighborhood. The tour begins with a guided bus and walking visit to these important places. At Plaza de España, the group sees the Renaissance Revival style architecture and the estuary with four tiled bridges symbolizing different Spanish regions. Walking through the Barrio Santa Cruz reveals whitewashed houses and lively tapas bars. Outside the Seville Cathedral, the group stops for photos of this large Gothic structure. The Real Alcázar Palace, once a Moorish fort and royal residence, is viewed from outside, displaying Mudéjar, Moorish, and Neoclassical architecture. Visitors should note that entrance fees to monuments like the Alcázar and Cathedral are not included. After the guided portion, guests have three hours of free time to shop, eat, or relax, including the option to visit the Torre del Oro or enjoy the atmosphere of the city. The tour also includes views of the Guadalquivir River and a visit to Maria Luisa Park, where the guide explains the history of Plaza de España and its connection to the 1929 World’s Fair. Hotel pickup and drop-off in the Algarve area is included, with near-location pickup if hotel service is unavailable. The bus provides onboard WiFi and air conditioning for comfort during the journey. Lunch, drinks, gratuities, and admission fees to attractions are not covered. Participants are advised to prepare for the summer heat with suitable clothing, sun protection, and water.
