Overview

The tour begins at Plaza del Triunfo, where participants meet to start. The first stop is the Alcázar of Seville, a royal palace built for King Peter of Castile, known for its Mudéjar architecture. The group enters the Alcázar at opening time to avoid crowds and spends about one and a half hours with a local English-speaking guide who explains the building’s architecture and history. This palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with architectural influences ranging from the Arabic period to the Baroque period. If the option including the Cathedral is selected, the tour continues to the Cathedral of Seville, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. The guide leads a seventy-five-minute visit, providing information on the cathedral’s construction and historical importance. After the guided portion, visitors have free time to explore the cathedral on their own and may climb the Giralda tower. The climb to the Giralda takes around fifteen minutes and offers views over the city. The full combined tour lasts about three hours. Mandatory audio systems are provided to ensure all participants can hear the guide clearly. Access to the Cuarto Real is not included in this tour.
