Overview

Discover the elegance of traditional Chinese painting through a hands-on fan painting experience in Shanghai. Under the guidance of a local art instructor, learn the basic techniques of Chinese ink painting, including brush control, ink shades, and traditional composition. You will paint on a traditional fan and create your own artwork inspired by classic Chinese themes such as flowers, birds, landscapes, or other traditional motifs. No previous painting experience is required. Your instructor will guide you step by step, helping you complete a beautiful fan while introducing the ideas behind Chinese artistic expression. At the end of the workshop, take home your handmade Chinese fan — a unique souvenir that reflects your personal creativity and a piece of traditional Chinese culture.
