Overview

This shuttlebus tour covers two of Banff National Park’s well-known lakes, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, allowing about one hour at each location for walking and photos. The round-trip shuttle lasts roughly four and a half hours and operates with small groups in air-conditioned vehicles. Drivers handle all the transport and logistics, including guaranteed photo stops at scenic viewpoints along the way. The trip begins with a drive from Banff to Lake Louise, which takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Lake Louise lies at about 1,500 meters elevation and features glacier-fed turquoise waters framed by the Canadian Rockies, including Mount Victoria and Victoria Glacier. Guests have one hour here to walk along the lake shore and take pictures. On the drive, the shuttle passes scenic points such as Castle Mountain Lookout and Vermilion Lakes, both without stopping. Castle Mountain is known for its distinctive castle-like shape, and Vermilion Lakes offer views of Mount Rundle and Sulphur Mountain. After Lake Louise, the shuttle continues to Moraine Lake, located in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Visitors get one hour to walk along the lakeshore, photograph the turquoise glacier-fed water, and climb the Rockpile Trail for wide panoramic views. Wildlife sightings are possible, including marmots and pikas. The return trip to Banff takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Water and an energy bar are included. The tour does not accommodate strollers or luggage. Parking in downtown Banff requires payment, and early arrival is advised to find parking near 215 Beaver Street.
