Siem Reap offers a variety of street foods popular with locals and visitors alike. This four-hour evening tour takes place by tuk-tuk and includes stops to taste local dishes and desserts. The group is limited to eight people for a small-group setting. A professional English-speaking guide leads the tour, providing information and coordinating the itinerary. The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off, a local beer tasting, and bottled water. All admission fees are covered. The tuk-tuk ride allows easy access to multiple street food spots around the city. Guests should inform the operator in advance of any dietary restrictions or allergies, as alternative food options are available.
Tuk-Tuk Pick-Up and Food Tasting
At 17:30, a tuk-tuk collects participants from their accommodation to begin the tour. The first tasting occurs at Lort Cha's house, where Cambodian Stir-fried Rice Pin Noodle is served and the stir-fry technique is demonstrated. Afterwards, the group visits Made Cambodia Market, which features stalls selling jewelry and silk scarves crafted by local Cambodians. Next, participants sample Num Banh-Chok, Cambodian rice noodles served with green curry soup. The stop continues at Siem Reap's local night market, offering sweet desserts, skewered meats, and fried insects including crickets, frogs, grasshoppers, and water beetles. The experience concludes with a local beer at a bar, and the group returns to the hotel by 21:00.
