Overview

This snorkeling tour takes place at Silfra, a fissure in Iceland’s Thingvellir National Park formed by the separation of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The fissure is known for its clear glacial water with visibility over 100 meters, fed by fresh, drinkable glacial streams that support unique aquatic life. The tour lasts about three hours and includes the use of snorkeling gear and hot chocolate after the swim. A certified PADI Divemaster or instructor guides the activity. Participants can choose between drysuit or wetsuit options, allowing members of the same group to select different suits if preferred. The guide also takes underwater photos during the snorkeling, which are included in the price. Participants meet on location and should bring appropriate outdoor clothing for Iceland’s weather. Food is not included.
