This small-group 2-day tour starts with hotel pickup in Ho Chi Minh City's Districts 1, 3, and 4. The group travels by air-conditioned minivan to the Mekong Delta region. The tour includes motor-boat and hand-rowed boat rides on the river to visit a floating market and observe local life. Guests also take a bicycle ride through rural villages and countryside. In the evening, the group stays overnight at a local villager's house (homestay). During the homestay, participants join a cooking class where they prepare a traditional Vietnamese dinner with the host family.
