Overview

This small-group tour lasts about 8 to 9 hours and departs from Brasov. It begins with a drive to Peles Castle, a 19th-century Bavarian-style palace set in a forest, where visitors spend around 90 minutes touring its ornate rooms and the nearby Pelișor Castle, which features art nouveau design. Next, the tour continues approximately 1 hour to Bran Castle, known as ‘Dracula’s Castle.’ Guests can explore the castle’s stone walls and red turrets, paying an entrance fee on their own, while a guide shares stories about Vlad the Impaler, the 15th-century prince linked to the Dracula legend. Visitors have the option to have lunch near Bran Castle at their own expense. The final stop is Rasnov Fortress, where guests can walk around the outside walls and the exterior courtyard since the fortress is currently closed. This 13th-century stone fortress, located near the Bucegi Mountains, was built as a refuge against invaders. Transportation is by air-conditioned car or minivan with hotel pickup and drop-off from Brasov outside the old town. Entrance fees are not included and must be paid separately.
