Overview

This 2.5-hour small-group boat tour in Cabo San Lucas uses fast, stable Zodiac boats to get close to whales in their natural environment. The group size is limited to 15 people, allowing a more personal experience guided by a professional captain and a marine biologist. The tour departs by boat and includes a stop at the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, a three-story granite formation at the meeting point of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez, where passengers can take photos. Along the way, the captain navigates prime whale-watching spots where humpback whales are commonly seen, as well as occasional gray whales and blue whales. The marine biologist provides information about the local geography and marine life during the cruise. Bottled water is provided onboard. The boat returns to the hotel at the end of the tour. Gratuities, souvenir photos, hotel transfers, and dock or protected area fees are not included. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Arch of Cabo San Lucas

The boat stops at the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, a granite formation rising about three stories above the water. Known as "El Arco" or "Land's End," it marks where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. The formation is shaped by tidal and wind erosion over thousands of years. Passengers can take photos during this brief stop.
