Overview

This small-group boat tour lasts about 7 to 8 hours, departing from Sorrento port along the coast. The trip begins with sailing past the Sorrento coastline and the fishing village of Marina Grande, followed by a view of Bagni Regina Giovanna, an ancient Roman villa from the 1st century BC. The boat then stops at the White Grotto for a 2-minute visit to see the contrast between cave light and sea blue, highlighted by stalactites and stalagmites. A 5-minute stop follows at the Faraglioni rock formations, known from Homer’s tales. The boat continues to the island of Capri, where passengers disembark for 4 hours of free time to explore landmarks such as La Piazzetta square, Via Camerelle shopping street, and the Augustus Gardens. After the free time, the tour includes a 40-minute swim in Capri’s clear waters. The boat then visits the Green Grotto for about 2 minutes, a cave formed from dolomite, the island’s oldest sedimentary rock. Next, the route passes the Punta Carena Lighthouse, one of Italy’s oldest lighthouses, and then approaches the Blue Grotto with an optional 30-minute visit depending on waiting times. The tour returns to Sorrento port around 4:30 pm. On board, drinks including soft drinks, water, beer, and a bottle of wine per boat are provided, along with seasonal fruit. Scuba masks, life jackets, an outdoor shower, restroom facilities, fuel, and a professional skipper are included. The tour does not include meals, beach towels, gratuities, or the Blue Grotto entrance fee. Assistance fees at embarkation and disembarkation are also excluded.
