Book on Viator Confirmed right away, but you pay full price.€332.50This full-day SuperSaver tour in South Iceland lasts about 10 hours and combines two notable geological sites. It begins with a visit to Raufarhólshellir, one of Iceland's longest lava tunnels located approximately 45 minutes from Reykjavík. Participants walk through the tunnel to observe colorful rock formations and volcanic structures formed thousands of years ago. After exploring the lava cave, the tour continues to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At Þingvellir, participants snorkel in the Silfra Fissure, a crack between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The snorkeling is guided by a certified divemaster and includes all necessary gear. The water is exceptionally clear, allowing snorkelers to float between the two continental plates while viewing underwater rock formations. After snorkeling, hot chocolate and cookies are provided. The guide takes underwater photos, which are shared with participants. Optional transfers for pickup and dropoff from Reykjavík are available. Lunch is not included but can be brought or purchased during breaks. Participants should bring warm base layers, a towel, a change of clothes, and thick socks for comfort during and after the activities. The minimum age is 12 years, and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult booked on the same tour. Guests must meet weight and height requirements and be able to swim. Additional safety and medical information is provided before the tour.
