Overview

This shared door-to-door coach service starts at Southampton Port and combines a post-cruise transfer with a full day of sightseeing to Salisbury, Stonehenge, and Windsor Castle before arriving in London and Heathrow. The entire tour lasts about nine hours and includes a friendly expert guide and travel in a luxury, air-conditioned coach. The first stop is Salisbury, where there is a 45-minute visit. Visitors walk through St Ann's Gate and the cathedral close to see historic buildings and view Salisbury Cathedral’s spire, the tallest in the UK. Entry to the cathedral is not included. Next, the coach travels to Stonehenge for a 90-minute visit. Guests can walk around the 4,000-5,000-year-old prehistoric monument, explore the visitor centre and neolithic village, and have time for refreshments and the gift shop. The final stop is Windsor Castle, where visitors have two hours. Windsor Castle is the largest continuously occupied castle in the world and the official residence of King Charles III. The guide does not enter the castle; instead, visitors receive an audio guide to explore the state apartments and St. George’s Chapel independently. Entry to Windsor Castle is included except on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays when the castle is closed; on those days, the tour visits Windsor town instead. After Windsor, the coach continues to Heathrow Airport and selected hotels in London. Luggage allowances and mobility aid requirements apply as specified.

Salisbury

After passing through Wiltshire’s countryside and villages, the coach stops in Salisbury for about 45 minutes. Visitors walk through the medieval St Ann's Gate and the cathedral close, viewing historic buildings and admiring Salisbury Cathedral’s 404-foot spire, the tallest in the UK, built between 1220 and 1258. The walk includes the cloisters, constructed from 1261 and the largest in the country. There is no time to enter the cathedral itself.

45 min

2

Stonehenge

The coach proceeds to Stonehenge for a 90-minute visit. The guide explains various theories about this 4,000- to 5,000-year-old prehistoric monument, including its possible uses as a temple, clock, or burial site. Visitors can walk around the stones, visit the gift shop, and explore the new visitor centre and neolithic village.

Windsor Castle

The tour spends two hours at Windsor Castle, perched above the River Thames and the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. Visitors receive a personal audio guide to explore the state apartments and St. George’s Chapel at their own pace. The guide does not enter Windsor Castle with the group.
