Overview

This eight-hour day trip departs from Brisbane in an air-conditioned minibus limited to 11 passengers. The tour begins with a 10-minute stop at Hinze Dam for a toilet break and views of the dam. Next, the vehicle travels for about one and a half hours through the Numinbah Valley to the Springbrook Plateau and National Park. Guests walk approximately 1.2 kilometers through rainforest to reach the Natural Bridge, a rock formation created by volcanic activity 32 million years ago. The walk includes around 200 stairs and passes by rock pools. The Natural Bridge cave is home to glow worms of the species Arachnacampa flava. After spending about 45 minutes at the Natural Bridge, the tour continues to Robert Sowter Park Monument for 10 minutes, where visitors can see views of the hinterland valley, Canungra, Lamington National Park, and the Great Dividing Range. The group then travels to Mt Tamborine’s Main Street, known as Gallery Walk, where there is 30 minutes to sample local fudge, cheese, and nuts, have lunch, and browse art galleries. The tour includes a 45-minute visit to the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves, a man-made cave where guests can see glow worms in their habitat, followed by a burger lunch in the dining room. The final stop is the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, a man-made elevated walkway over the rainforest canopy. Guests have 45 minutes to walk the cantilever bridge, enjoy local pastries and cakes, and take photos of the forest. Bottled water (600 ml), a wrap, a cookie, and a 390 ml drink are provided during the tour. Full mobility and the ability to walk stairs comfortably are required for this tour.
