by Island Buggy Excursions
This self-driven buggy rental lets travelers explore St Thomas at their own pace for between one and eight hours. The operator provides a modern buggy equipped with fuel, insurance, and all taxes and fees. Guests can choose to follow the suggested route on either the island's east or west end, or customize their stops according to personal interests. Drivers control how long they spend at each location without being rushed by guides or schedules. Starting from Havensight, the route leads along Charlotte Amalie Harbor to Emerald Bay Beach, where visitors can swim in clear blue water and relax on white sand. Next is Brewer's Bay, accessible by driving past the University of St. Thomas; here, guests can swim and look for sea turtles, with food trucks nearby for meals. The excursion continues with a scenic mountain drive to Mountain Top, home to St Thomas’s largest souvenir store and the famous Banana Daiquiri, where travelers can enjoy views of surrounding islands from the patio. After descending the mountain, there is a stop at Drake's Seat, a historic lookout once used by Sir Francis Drake in the 16th century. The final destination is Magens Bay Beach, where guests can spend up to three hours swimming, relaxing, or visiting the beach bar and nearby shops before returning to Havensight. Towels are recommended for beach visits. Lunch is not included in the rental. Booking requires providing home address, driver's license details including expiration date, and email address.
