Overview

This guided tour lasts between three and five hours and offers reserved ferry tickets to Liberty Island and, if selected, Ellis Island. The tour starts at the sandstone fort where participants meet their guide. On Liberty Island, the guide leads a one-hour walk around the Statue of Liberty and the Statue of Liberty Museum, with opportunities for photos of the New York City skyline. For those choosing the Comprehensive 4-hour option, there is additional time to explore the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration independently using an included audio guide. The guide points out landmarks such as the American Immigrant Wall of Honor during a separate one-hour tour on Ellis Island. Visitors can spend an hour or more inside the museum at their own pace before returning to Battery Park. The shorter Liberty Express option offers a two-hour guided visit to Liberty Island only. Museum visits on both islands are self-guided, complying with regulations that prevent guides from entering. The tour includes ferry access with reduced waiting times, an expert New York City storyteller, and entry to both museums where applicable. Food is available to purchase on the ferry and on both islands.
