Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument more than 5,000 years old featuring a large stone circle with some stones over 9 metres (30 feet) tall and weighing more than 25 tons. Visitors have 2.5 hours to explore the site at their own pace, including reconstructed Neolithic houses furnished with replica axes, pottery, and other functional items. The visitor centre displays over 250 archaeological objects such as jewellery, human remains, and a 5,500-year-old man. Across the Salisbury Plain landscape, hundreds of barrows stretch as far as the eye can see. The site provides information answering questions like 'who made Stonehenge' and 'how was Stonehenge built'.
