Overview

This full-day coach tour from London begins with a visit to Windsor, where travelers enter Windsor Castle and St. George's Chapel (if selected) to see over 900 years of royal history. The castle stands above the River Thames and is the largest continuously inhabited castle worldwide. After Windsor, the group travels to Stonehenge, a 5,000-year-old prehistoric monument. Entry is included if selected, and a guide provides information about the site. Next, the tour stops in the village of Lacock for a guided walking tour through the medieval village featured in several Harry Potter films. After exploring Lacock, guests have a one-course lunch in a 14th-century pub, usually the George Inn, though the venue can change. Following lunch, the coach passes by a historic bridge over the River Avon and then drives through the Royal Crescent, a significant Georgian architectural site in Bath. In Bath, the tour includes a panoramic coach drive and a short walking tour, including a stop at Bath Abbey, a religious site with over 1,200 years of history. Visitors may also choose to explore the Roman Baths Museum independently, which showcases a nearly 2,000-year-old public bath complex built over natural hot springs. The tour lasts about 12 and a half hours and concludes with a drop-off near Gloucester Road Underground Station in London.
