The Submarine Safari in Lanzarote departs from Puerto Calero Marina, located in the south of the island. Passengers board a spacious submarine with 44 seats, designed to dive up to 30 meters (100 feet) below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. The submarine features 22 large portholes on each side, providing views of marine life such as sea breams, rays, barracuda, eels, and groupers, as well as shipwrecks on the ocean floor. The cabin maintains normal atmospheric pressure, making it suitable for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, and those with ear problems. The underwater tour lasts approximately one hour. During the dive, an audioguide with headphones provides information about the marine environment. Passengers receive a personalized dive certificate at the end of the safari. Free color fish charts are also provided. After the submarine dive, there is free time to explore Puerto Calero Marina. Coach transfer to the marina can be arranged on request. Note that children under two years old are not permitted, and passengers must be able to descend a small ladder to enter the submarine.
