by Lofoten Explorer
This two-hour boat tour departs from Svolvaer, Norway, and travels to Trollfjord, a narrow fjord in Lofoten that is two kilometers long and about 100 meters wide at its narrowest point. The fjord is a branch of the Raftsund and is surrounded by steep mountains rising between 600 and 1100 meters high. The tour includes a sea eagle safari, allowing participants to observe sea eagles in their natural environment along the fjord. Guests are provided with floating suits, goggles, gloves, and safety vests to wear during the tour, all included in the price. The tour highlights the natural features of Trollfjord and its historical significance, including its role in local fisheries and the 1890 Battle of the Trollfjord, which is depicted in Johan Bojer’s novel "The Last Viking" and in a painting by Gunnar Berg displayed at the Gunnar Berg Gallery in Svinøya Rorbuer.
