Overview

This whale watching tour lasts about two to three hours in the Saguenay - St. Lawrence Marine Park, departing from either Tadoussac or Baie-Sainte-Catherine in the Charlevoix region. Passengers board either a large, specially designed observation boat or a smaller Zodiac boat. Both options include expert bilingual naturalist guides who provide detailed commentary on up to thirteen whale species and other marine mammals found in the area. Observation boats offer spacious, comfortable seating with panoramic views ideal for spotting marine life, while Zodiac boats allow a closer experience with minimal environmental impact. Zodiac passengers receive waterproof jackets and pants for protection from spray. The tour route includes views of the Saguenay Fjord’s mountainous landscape. All fees and taxes are included. Sightings of whales are common, but since the animals are wild, there is a possibility no whales will be seen; in that case, a complimentary second whale watching tour is offered. The boats depart from Tadoussac or Baie-Sainte-Catherine, with pickups arranged between the two locations as needed.
