Overview

This six-hour hiking tour starts with a drive from San Juan to Arecibo that takes about an hour through scenic areas. Upon arrival, there is a rocky hike to the Taino Indian cave, where you will see over 100 ancient stone carvings. The cave entrance is narrow and may be difficult for people with claustrophobia or certain physical conditions. After exploring the cave, the tour continues with a hike along the natural rock formations known as the 7 arches of Arecibo. The views here are best appreciated in person. The day concludes with a visit to La Poza Del Obispo, a quiet beach with clear, warm turquoise water.
