The tour begins with a ride on the Wings of Tatev cable car, which is the world’s longest non-stop double-track cable car spanning about 6 kilometers. This ride crosses above the Vorotan Gorge and leads directly to the 9th-century Tatev Monastery. The monastery is located on a high plateau surrounded by mountains and forests and was once an important medieval university and spiritual center. After spending around an hour exploring Tatev Monastery, the group travels to Shaki Waterfall near Sisian. The waterfall cascades 18 meters down basalt cliffs and is notable for its strong water flow and the legend of a girl named Shake. Visitors walk a narrow path to reach the falls. The final stop is in Areni village, where the guide takes guests to a local winery to taste several varieties of Armenian wine. The whole tour lasts about 13 to 14 hours and includes guide service, entrance fees, bottled water, snacks, alcoholic beverages, onboard WiFi, and air conditioning.
