Overview

This full-day van or minibus tour from Ho Chi Minh City lasts about 11 to 12 hours and covers Tay Ninh Province’s main attractions. The tour starts with hotel pickup in District 1 or 4, then heads to Black Virgin Mountain (Ba Den), the highest peak in southern Vietnam. Visitors can walk around the mountain’s natural surroundings or choose to buy a cable car ticket (not included) to reach the summit, where views stretch over rice fields and the Cambodia border. The summit also features Asia’s tallest bronze Buddha statue. After Ba Den Mountain, the group goes to a local restaurant for lunch with fresh Vietnamese dishes. Next is the Cao Dai Temple, a colorful site about two hours from Cu Chi, where the guide explains Caodaism, a religion blending Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism, and Confucianism. Guests can explore the temple’s symbolic architecture and watch the noon prayer ceremony. For those who select the Cu Chi Tunnels option, the tour continues to this historic site. The tunnels are a 200-kilometer underground network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. Visitors see hidden rooms such as hospitals, weapon factories, and command centers, and can try cassava with tea, a wartime staple. Guests who do not visit Cu Chi transfer to another vehicle for the return trip. The tour ends back in Ho Chi Minh City, usually between 7:00 and 7:30 pm. The itinerary can be adjusted for weather, traffic, or guest preferences.
