This seven-hour tour begins with a climate-controlled coach picking up guests from selected hotels in South Tenerife. During the journey, guides provide information about Teide National Park’s volcanic history, unique plants and animals, and local legends. The group stops at Montaña Sámara, located 2,000 meters above sea level, to watch the sunset over volcanic lava fields, pine forests, and the distant Atlantic Ocean. On clear evenings, nearby islands can be seen. Guests receive a glass of cava or orange juice to enjoy while watching the changing colors of the sky above the Sea of Clouds. After about 30 minutes, the coach travels approximately 45 minutes deeper into the park to Restaurante 7 Cañadas in La Orotava. Here, guests have a three-course Canarian dinner that includes a first drink. The menu offers Rancho Canario soup or salad to start, followed by a choice of chicken in salmorejo sauce, fish with onions, or a vegetarian burger served with Canarian potatoes. Dessert, bread, water, and wine are also included. Following dinner, guests take part in a 90-minute star safari stargazing session under some of the clearest night skies on Earth. Guides use four high-powered telescopes and lasers to identify constellations, explain their mythology and scientific background, and assist with astrophotography. Commentary is provided in English, Spanish, and German. Warm coats are available if needed. At the end of the session, guests receive a free sunset time-lapse video and photos from the tour.
