Overview

This half-day guided tour begins with boarding transportation at a central meeting point in Mexico City. The trip heads to the Teotihuacan archaeological site, arriving early to enter just as the gates open. Visitors spend about three hours exploring the site, including the Pyramid of the Sun, Pyramid of the Moon, Avenue of the Dead, Palace of Quetzalpapalotl, and Temple of the Feathered Snake. The guide provides historical and cultural explanations while walking through the plazas and viewing murals. After the site visit, the tour continues with a 45-minute stop at an obsidian workshop where guests learn about the volcanic stone’s traditional uses and enjoy a tequila tasting. Following this, there is a lunch break of around 1 hour and 40 minutes at a local restaurant offering traditional Mexican dishes; lunch is included only if that option is selected. Finally, the guide returns the group by round-trip transport to the original meeting point in Mexico City. The full experience lasts about eight hours. Drinks and tips are not included. Note that the afternoon departure has different start times and total duration.
