This tour offers a shared hot air balloon flight over Teotihuacan, lasting about 3 to 6 hours including transportation and breakfast. Early in the morning, a pickup from your Mexico City hotel takes you to the balloon launch site near Teotihuacan. On arrival, coffee and bread are served before you board the balloon. The flight lasts between 30 and 50 minutes, reaching up to 10,000 feet above the archaeological site, providing aerial views of the pyramids and surrounding structures. After landing, a traditional ceremony is held with a toast led by the pilot. Following the flight, breakfast is served at La Cueva Restaurant inside a natural cave, but an alternative breakfast at a local community restaurant near the archaeological zone is also available for those who select that option. There is an optional visit to an obsidian and maguey workshop where you can learn about local crafts and taste pulque and tequila. Then, you have about 1.5 hours of free time to explore the Teotihuacan Archaeological Site on your own; entrance fees and parking are not included. The tour concludes with a return trip to Mexico City and drop-off at your original pickup point. All times are approximate and may shift due to weather or logistics. The balloon flight depends entirely on weather conditions, and while direct flight over the archaeological site cannot be guaranteed, most flights pass near or over it. Photographs are not included in the price, and tipping is not included. Children under 6 years old cannot participate.
