Overview

This private tour takes you from Mexico City to the archaeological site of Teotihuacán for about 5 to 6 hours. A dedicated guide leads you through the main areas of the site, starting with the Pyramid of the Moon. From its summit, you can see the layout of the City of the Gods and learn about the human sacrifices performed to honor the gods. You will walk through the palaces decorated with murals, which reveal important aspects of the site’s history. The tour continues to the Pyramid of the Sun, a large monument possibly dedicated to the god of rain, water, thunder, and lightning, where you can climb to the top for a wide view of the area. The final stop is the Quetzalcoatl Temple, notable for its large feathered serpent heads on the façade. Here, the guide shares information about recent archaeological work, including the Proyecto Tlalocan. Private transportation, entry tickets, bottled water, all fees, and taxes are included.
