This 8-hour bus tour explores the southern part of Lanzarote, where volcanic eruptions lasted six years in the 18th century. The tour begins with a visit to El Charco de los Clicos, also called Lago Verde or the Green Lagoon, located in the village of El Golfo. Visitors can walk down to the lagoon and see the surrounding cliffs, where the green semi-precious stone Olivina is found in the rocks. Next, the tour continues to Timanfaya National Park, known as Montañas del Fuego or Fire Mountains. Visitors follow La Ruta de los Volcanes to view the volcanic landscape formed nearly 300 years ago. Inside the park, geothermal demonstrations show the heat beneath the surface. An optional camel ride around the volcanic area is available for an additional cost. After a lunch break in the village of Yaiza (lunch not included), the tour proceeds to La Geria, a renowned wine-growing region of Lanzarote. Visitors have the opportunity to taste local wines at one of the island’s leading wineries. The tour departs from Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, Arrecife, Puerto Calero, Playa Honda, and Playa Blanca.
