Overview

Asakusa is a historic district in Tokyo known for its traditional atmosphere and cultural landmarks. This 90-minute tea ceremony takes place in a quiet setting within Asakusa, where participants experience a rare two-bowl style tea ceremony. First, the host prepares a bowl of matcha green tea for guests to taste. Then, each participant prepares their own bowl using authentic tea utensils, following clear English and Japanese instructions. The ceremony is held at a table-style seating arrangement, so no kneeling is needed, making it accessible for beginners, families, and visitors of all ages. Guests may choose to wear a kimono at no extra charge. Seasonal wagashi sweets are served alongside the matcha to complement the flavors.
