This guided walking tour lasts about seven hours and takes place in Chicaque Natural Park, located roughly 30 minutes from Bogota. The hike follows an ancient colonial stone path originally used by the Indian Panche and Muisca peoples and later expanded by Iberian colonists for horses. The path runs through an Andean cloud forest and connects the Minga Land savannah near Bogota with the Magdalena Valley. During the trek, the trail divides into two routes within the park: the upper and lower paths. The lower path is shorter and leads to a refuge situated above the treetops, offering wide views over the forest. The guide leads the group through natural surroundings rich in wildlife and plant life, explaining the historical significance of the route. After completing the hike, participants are returned to their hotels in Bogota by mid-afternoon, allowing time to rest before evening activities in the city.
