The tour starts with a visit to Cataratas Llanos de Cortes, a wide waterfall surrounded by forest with a natural pool suitable for swimming or relaxing. Visitors spend about 30 minutes at the waterfall. Next, the group travels to the Heliconias Hanging Bridges Trails on the slopes of Tenorio Volcano. Here, guests take a two-hour walk across three hanging bridges suspended 35 to 40 meters above the tropical rainforest floor. The hike includes several stops to observe the plants and animals in the evergreen jungle. After the hike, the tour continues with a one-hour visit to Bijagua Ranas, a jungle sloths sanctuary where it is possible to see sloths in their natural environment. The sanctuary also features around eight species of rainforest frogs, including red-eyed tree frogs and poison dart frogs, as well as a butterfly garden with various butterfly species. Toucans may be seen flying overhead during the visit. Bottled water and lunch are included in the tour. The total duration is between seven and nine hours. An additional fee applies for car seats if needed.
