This 7-day escorted Turkey Classics tour begins in Istanbul and includes visits to several important historical and natural sites. The group size is limited to 20 people. The itinerary covers the Gallipoli battlefields, the ancient city of Troy, the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale, and the unique landscapes of Cappadocia. The tour also includes visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Ephesus, Göreme, and Hierapolis. A professional English-speaking guide leads the tour throughout. Transportation is provided in a fully air-conditioned, non-smoking vehicle. The package includes six nights of accommodation, daily breakfast, and dinner. Entrance fees to all scheduled sites are included, with skip-the-line access where available. Optional add-ons available after booking include pre-tour accommodation, airport transfers, post-tour accommodation in Istanbul, and a flight from Kayseri (Cappadocia) to Istanbul on the last day instead of bus travel. There is no luggage restriction on this tour. Participants should advise any dietary requirements at the time of booking. The tour covers approximately seven days in total and offers a well-organized visit to Turkey’s classic destinations.

Start your adventure with an early morning departure from Istanbul, where optional pre-tour accommodation and airport transfers can be arranged for a stress-free start to your journey. Travel to the Gallipoli Peninsula, one of Turkey's most moving historical sites, and walk through the WWI battlefields. Visit ANZAC Cove, the Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, Johnston's Jolly, The Nek, and the original trenches and tunnels. Reflect on the poignant history of this iconic location before heading to Çanakkale for your overnight stay.

Depart from Çanakkale and head towards Troy, where we will explore the ancient city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the new, award-winning Troy Museum. We continue on to the old village of Behramkale, a picturesque settlement with stone houses and narrow streets that offer a glimpse into traditional Turkish village life. You will have time to explore the village, take in the beautiful scenery, and perhaps enjoy a cup of Turkish tea or coffee at a local café. From Behramkale, we head south to Kuşadası.

Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city and theatre before exploring the Ephesus Archaeology Museum, which houses an impressive collection of artifacts from the region. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey, and at the carpet village, we learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value.

This morning we will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before heading to the magnificent white calcium terraces, known as Travertines, in Pamukkale where we also tour the ancient city of Hierapolis. Alternatively, skip Ankara and take a morning flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul at an additional cost. Optional post-tour accommodations in Cappadocia or Istanbul can also be arranged.
