Overview
This 10-hour tour starts with a hotel pickup in Ubud and transportation to the base of Mount Batur, an active volcano in Bali standing 1,717 meters high. A guide leads a trekking hike from the base to the summit, timed to reach the top before sunrise. Participants spend time at the summit watching the sunrise over the caldera and surrounding area. After the sunrise, the group descends back to the base. The tour includes breakfast, hot tea or coffee, bottled mineral water, and insurance. A driver and guide assist throughout the trip. The tour concludes with a drop-off at the hotel in Ubud. Participants should bring warm clothing and hiking or sport shoes suitable for mountain conditions.
