Uyuni is home to the largest salt flat in the world, located in the high, dry desert of southwest Bolivia. This 3-day tour travels across the vast white salt flats and surrounding desert landscapes in Toyota 4x4 vehicles driven by experienced drivers. The tour includes accommodations for two nights, meals from afternoon tea to dinner, and breakfast each day. An English-speaking professional guide and photographer accompany the group throughout the trip. The itinerary covers visits to small villages isolated in the tundra among colorful mountains and lagoons inhabited by flamingos. The tour also includes stops at the Sol de Mañana geyser and ends with a visit to thermal hot springs in the evening, where temperatures reach about 38°C. Nighttime activities include star gazing and viewing the Milky Way. Hotel pickup is provided. It is possible to finish the tour in San Pedro de Atacama for an additional fee if requested. Safety equipment such as satellite phones, oxygen bottles, and sleeping bags are included in the vehicles. Fuel surcharges are covered by the tour price. Entrance fees to Inca Wasi Island and the national park, as well as alcoholic drinks, are not included and must be paid separately.
