Itinerary

1

Valley of Fire State Park

The tour spends about four hours at Valley of Fire State Park, the leading hiking location near Las Vegas. The park is known for its Aztec Sandstone formations, created roughly 150 million years ago from shifting sand dunes. These rocks appear to glow red and orange under the sun, which gives the park its name. Visitors see landmarks such as Elephant Rock, Cabins, and Rainbow Vista and access sites not typically open to other tours.

2

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

The tour then stops for approximately 40 minutes at Red Rock Canyon. The area features red sandstone formations formed from ancient sand dunes that turned into rock through cementation by iron oxide and calcium carbonate. Later tectonic movements uplifted and fractured the layers, exposing iron-rich strata that give the canyon its red colors.
