This half-day whale watching boat tour in Vancouver takes place aboard a Salish Sea class catamaran designed for comfort and wildlife viewing. The vessel holds up to 95 passengers and features an indoor heated cabin with floor-to-ceiling windows as well as open-air decks. The tour lasts about five hours and is led by a captain and a team of three to four naturalist guides who provide commentary about the local marine species. Complimentary hot beverages including tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are available on board. The tour operates in Georgia Strait with a focus on spotting native whales and other marine animals. Educational materials are provided, and digital language guides in several languages are available. A free photo package featuring wildlife images taken during the trip is included. Two washrooms are available on the boat. The operator offers a Whale Sightings Guarantee: if no whales are seen, guests receive complimentary additional tours under certain conditions, though related fees and taxes are excluded. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included. Gratuities are also not covered. The tour runs in most weather conditions, so appropriate clothing is recommended. Service animals are allowed if they have proper documentation and a life jacket. Guests must check in 30 minutes before departure, and the operator may require the credit card used for booking and photo ID at check-in.
