Overview
This 75-minute surfing lesson in Waikiki is led by local firefighters who are experienced surfers. The session starts on Waikiki Beach with an introduction to surfing basics such as paddling, balancing on the board, and the pop-up technique to stand up. Safety guidelines and wave etiquette are also explained. You then enter the water where the instructor provides hands-on guidance as you practice catching gentle waves suitable for beginners. Between rides, you can relax on your board and take in views of Diamond Head and the surrounding shore. Most participants stand up and ride a wave by the end of the lesson. Private transportation and surfboards are included, but return transportation may not be available due to scheduling.

Surfing lesson in Waikiki
