Overview

This six-hour bus tour covers over 100 Washington DC landmarks, including stops at more than 10 major monuments. Guests will visit the White House, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, U.S. Capitol Building, Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Air Force Memorial, and the Iwo Jima Memorial. The route also passes by the Washington Monument, Arlington Cemetery, and several Smithsonian museums. During cherry blossom season, usually from late March to early April, the tour includes time to walk along the blooming Cherry Blossom trees at the Tidal Basin. The guide provides historical narration and shares facts at each stop. The tour features a 40-50 minute narrated boat cruise on the Potomac River departing from Georgetown Washington Harbor. When the boat cruise is not operating in the off-season (mid-October to mid-March), the itinerary replaces the cruise with visits to the Jefferson Memorial, Air Force Memorial, Eisenhower Memorial, and a lunch stop at Pentagon City Mall (lunch at own expense). Lunch is not included, but there is a break in Georgetown for guests to purchase food before the boat ride (or at Pentagon Mall in the off-season). Several upgrade options are available at checkout, including a two-hour guided Capitol Hill walk with U.S. Capitol admission, self-guided entry to the Washington Monument, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the National Air and Space Museum. The guide remains with the group throughout the tour to provide commentary and assist at each stop.
