Washington DC features numerous monuments, memorials, and museums that reflect its role as the nation’s capital. This half-day sightseeing tour takes place on a minibus with live narration from a professional guide over about 3 to 4 hours. The route passes many historic landmarks including Arlington National Cemetery, the Supreme Court, and the Washington Monument. The tour includes stops at eight major attractions where passengers can get off the bus to visit and take photos. These stops include the White House (outside the South Front), the US Capitol, the Franklin Roosevelt Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Nurses Memorial. Along the way, the guide will share information about many other important sites on the route such as the Jefferson Memorial, Holocaust Memorial Museum, Bureau of Engraving and Printing, National Archives, Ford’s Theatre, Union Station, the National Mall, Smithsonian Institution Building, and several government buildings. An upgrade option at checkout allows extending the half-day tour to a full-day tour that includes a guided visit to George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate. Another optional add-on is the Explore Egypt in Washington DC experience, which focuses on living Egyptian civilization. The tour is offered as either a day or night trip, and during the day tour, the guide conducts trivia questions with passengers for prize opportunities. Cherry blossom viewing may be possible for bookings in early April. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included.
