Overview

This water bike tour departs from Makena Bay and lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Participants pedal water bikes along the shoreline heading southeast, passing reefs and marine life visible on the route. The tour includes several stops of around 10 minutes each for resting, taking photos, and learning Hawaiian names and local words from guides. Riders pass near one of the few black sand beaches on Maui's south shore, known as Oneuli Beach, which is visible from the water but not accessible by docking. The tour offers the option to pedal at a relaxed pace or push for more exercise while guides provide instructions and support throughout the ride. Bottled water, USCG-certified type III life jackets, and the water bikes themselves are included. Sunscreen and hats are not provided. The day before the tour, guests receive a detailed text message with information about what to bring, what to wear, GPS directions, and a map of the meeting location.
