This tour lasts about 4 to 5 hours and begins with hotel pickup in Cancun, Riviera Maya, or Playa del Carmen. You will be driven in an air-conditioned van to a private marina at Punta Sam in Cancun. Upon arrival, you will check in and have a light breakfast before boarding the boat. The boat leaves at 7:50 am and heads directly to the whale shark protected area. Life vests are required from the moment you board for safety. The captain will locate whale sharks and maneuver the boat to allow small groups of two to swim alongside these large fish under the supervision of certified guides. Each person will have two to three snorkeling sessions. There are 10 people per boat and snorkeling gear is provided, including masks certified by National Geographic Snorkeler. After swimming with the whale sharks, the boat stops at Playa Norte beach on Isla Mujeres. Here you will have one hour to relax or snorkel further. While you rest, the captain will prepare fresh ceviche and sandwiches, and you can enjoy non-alcoholic drinks. The boat then returns to the marina in Cancun, where the vans will be ready to take you back to your hotel. The tour includes breakfast, snacks, tea, coffee, sodas, bottled water, snorkeling equipment, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Dock fee and federal tax are not included.
