Overview

A 4-hour adventure of a lifetime, this shared boat tour from Mirissa gives you the opportunity to witness the biggest ocean mammals on earth in their natural habitat. Whale watching off the coast of Mirissa is now a much-loved attraction that enables you to have a glimpse of these magnificent giants swimming away with their pods.

Highlights

You will be met by our tour guide at Mirissa Harbour, where your Whale Watching Tour begins at 6.30 am. The boat journey takes around 2 hours to reach the deep waters of the Indian Ocean, a popular area for spotting whales. The crew will slow down near the sighting area and maintain a safe, responsible distance. Mirissa’s waters are home to blue whales, sperm whales, fin whales, occasional orcas, and dolphins on calm days. The best season is from December to April, when the sea is calmer. This tour promotes responsible tourism and environmental care. The full experience lasts approximately 4 hours.
